At UFC 150, Benson Henderson and Frankie Edgar will meet for a second time to determine the world's best lightweight fighter. After having to grant rematches to B.J. Penn and Gray Maynard during his reign as champion, Edgar was given an immediate rematch of his own following a narrow decision loss to Henderson in February.

Since losing his WEC lightweight title in the final fight of the promotion's history, Henderson has been a man on a mission, defeating Mark Bocek, Jim Miller and Clay Guida in his first three Octagon appearances to earn his first shot at Edgar.

Edgar, meanwhile, became recognized as one of the better lightweights in MMA history by withstanding wars against Penn and Maynard to tie the record for most consecutive 155-pound title defenses in UFC history.

Saturday's event will also feature another important lightweight tussle, as former training partners Donald Cerrone and Melvin Guillard will go to battle in what should be an exciting matchup. Cerrone and Guillard were long-time teammates at Jackson's MMA before Guillard decided to move his camp and join the Blackzilians in Florida.

To promote UFC 150, which will be held at the Pepsi Center in Denver, a pre-fight press conference will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET. Event headliners Henderson, Edgar, Cerrone and Guillard will likely join UFC president Dana White for the presser.

Shayna Baszler :-
Shayna Baszler (born August 8, 1980) is an American mixed martial artist. She currently trains under former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett. She has a record of 14 wins and 6 losses, with 13 wins coming by way of submission.
Baszler gained recognition for her pseudo-chicken wing submission that she has used to defeat many female fighters, including Roxanne Modafferi. In an audio interview with Jordan Breen on the Sherdog Radio Network, she dubbed the submission, which she created in training, as the "Shwing.

Biography :-
Shayna grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and majored in religion at Mid-America Nazarene University before beginning her mixed martial arts training. Shayna is the first mixed martial arts fighter to ever win by a twister submission, also known as the spinal lock. [1]

Mixed martial arts career :-
"Shayna began incorporating catch wrestling into her MMA training. This proved to be somewhat difficult because she could not train with Barnett in Southern California, so Barnett wrote her a syllabus and a video teaching the step by step secrets of catch wrestling and how to improve her verbal skills.[1] Barnett also suggested that Baszler carry an electric guitar to the cage to show that she was outspoken. Baszler reluctantly agreed and the guitar has become a signature of hers.[1]

Baszler faced Amanda Buckner at MFC: USA vs. Russia 3 on June 3, 2006. She lost the fight by TKO in the third round.[2]She faced Samantha Anderson at NFF - The Breakout on March 10, 2007. She won the fight by kimura submission in the first round.[3]

Baszler debuted for EliteXC at a ShoXC event on July 27, 2007. She submitted veteran Jan Finney with a first-round armbar and repeated the feat three months later against Jennifer Tate. After defeating Keiko Tamai with an impressive Twister submission at a third ShoXC event, Baszler moved up to the main EliteXC cards.
Baszler next faced Cristiane Santos on CBS television at EliteXC: Unfinished Business on July 26, 2008.[4] She lost the fight via TKO in the second round.[5]

Following EliteXC's closure, Baszler debuted for Strikeforce at Strikeforce Challengers: Villasenor vs. Cyborg on June 19, 2009 in a fight against Sarah Kaufman, but lost by Unanimous Decision.[6]
Baszler entered the Freestyle Cage Fighting Women's Bantamweight Grand Prix at FCF 39 on January 30, 2010 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She submitted Megumi Yabushita with a twister submission in the first round of their quarterfinal bout. It was the second time that Baszler had won an MMA fight with the unique submission.[7]

Baszler faced late replacement Alexis Davis in the second round of the FCF tournament at FCF 40 on March 27, 2010. She defeated Davis by Unanimous Decision.[8]Baszler was scheduled to face Jan Finney in the tournament final at FCF 43 on June 12, 2010.[8] However, Finney withdrew in order to compete in Strikeforce and Baszler faced Adrienna Jenkins instead.[9] Baszler defeated Jenkins by first-round armbar to become FCF Women's Bantamweight Grand Prix Champion.[10]
On November 19, 2010, Baszler faced Elaina Maxwell at The Cage Inc. - Battle At The Border 7. Baszler defeated Maxwell by submission due to a kneebar in the first round to become the first TCI Women's 140 lbs Champion.[11]Baszler was scheduled to defend her TCI title in a rematch with Alexis Davis at The Cage Inc. - Battle At The Border 10 on July 30, 2011.[12] However, the fight was cancelled after Davis signed with Strikeforce.[13]

Baszler agreed to face Kelly Kobold in a rematch at Cage Fighting Xtreme: Spring Brawl on April 21, 2012.[14] However, it was announced on March 16 that the event had been cancelled.[15]
On April 28, it was announced that Baszler will face Sara McMann in the main event of Invicta Fighting Championships 2. The event takes place on July 28, 2012.[16]

The NASCAR Nationwide Series is a stock car racing series owned and operated by the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing. It is promoted as NASCAR's "minor league" circuit, and is a proving ground for drivers who wish to step up to the organization's "big leagues"; the Sprint Cup Series circuit. Nationwide Series races are frequently held in the same venue as, and a day prior to, the Sprint Cup race scheduled for that weekend, encouraging fans to attend both events.

The series was previously called the NASCAR Busch Series and the NASCAR Busch Grand National Series. In December 2006, NASCAR officials confirmed that Anheuser-Busch, parent company for Busch Beer, would not renew its sponsorship of NASCAR's No. 2 series after the end of the 2007 Season. On October 3, 2007, it was announced Nationwide Insurance would become the title sponsor beginning with the 2008 season.

The series emerged from NASCAR's Sportsman division, which had been formed in 1950 as NASCAR's short track race division. It was NASCAR's fourth series (after the Modified and Roadster series in 1948 and Strictly Stock in 1949). The sportsman cars were not current model cars and could be modified more, but not as much as Modified series cars.[1] It became the Late Model Sportsman series in 1968, and soon featured races on larger tracks such as Daytona International Speedway. Drivers used obsolete Grand National (now Sprint Cup) cars on larger tracks but by the inception of the touring format in 1982, the series used older compact cars. Short track cars with relatively small 300 cubic inch V-8 motors were used. Drivers used smaller current year models featuring V6 motors.

The modern-day Nationwide Series was formed in 1982, when Anheuser-Busch sponsored a newly reformed late-model sportsman series with its Budweiser brand. The series switched sponsorship to Busch in 1984. It was renamed in 1986 to the Busch Grand National Series.

Grand National was dropped from the series' title in 2003 as part of NASCAR's brand identity (the Grand National name was now used for the Busch East and Winston West series as part of a nationwide standardization of rules for NASCAR's regional racing). Following the 2007 season, Anheuser-Busch, makers of the Busch brand of beer, said they would not renew their contract with NASCAR. In 2008 Nationwide Insurance became the title sponsor of the "NASCAR Nationwide Series".[2]

The Nationwide sponsorship is a seven-year contract, which coincides with NASCAR's current broadcast contract with ABC/ESPN. The Nationwide sponsorship does not include the banking and mortgage departments of Nationwide. The sponsorship reportedly carried a $10 million commitment for 2008, with 6% annual escalations thereafter.[3] In addition to the direct cost of sponsorship, Nationwide has made an additional commitment of between $4 million and $5 million in advertisement buys on ESPN.

{~} Races held outside of the USA
On March 6, 2005, the Series held its first race outside the United States, the Telcel-Motorola 200. The race was held in Mexico City, Mexico at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, a track that has held Formula One and Champ Car races in the past. It was won by Martin Truex Jr. On August 4, 2007, the Series held its second race outside of the United States, at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec, another road course. It was won by Kevin Harvick, while Quebec native Patrick Carpentier finished second. In July 2008 NASCAR announced that the Nationwide Series would not return to Mexico City's Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in 2009.

Since 2007, ESPN2 as well as ABC and ESPN have been the exclusive carrier of all Nationwide Series races, replacing Fox, FX, TNT and NBC. Some sponsors have criticized the new television deal, noting only four (six in 2007) races will appear on broadcast network television (through a branding deal on ABC); in recent years, as many as ten races in the Nationwide Series have aired on network television. Most of the races on ABC were chosen so ESPN2 could air major sporting events. However in 2011, SPEED Channel has gained rights to the Spring Richmond race ending ESPN's exclusivity of the Nationwide Series. ESPN will still air the 33 other races with only four races (Las Vegas, Iowa, Charlotte, Michigan) being shown on ABC.

The Nationwide Series is available in most Latin American countries on cable and satellite TV. Since 2006, 'SPEED Latin America' carries live coverage of all events. The races are also shown on Fox Sports Latin America, some of them live and some tape-delayed depending on the network's schedule. Televisa Deportes also broadcasts a 30-minute recap every Sunday morning on national television in Mexico.

Network Ten's additional high-definition service, ONE, began broadcasting races from the Nationwide Series live or near live during the 2008 season. Previously, broadcasts of the series were carried on the Fox Sports now airs on Speed (TV channel) (Australia) pay TV channel.

All races are live on TSN HD or TSN2 HD using ESPN's coverage. Races that are aired on TSN2 are usually re aired on TSN late night after the race. Also, races are broadcasted on RDS in french using ESPN's coverage as TSN

McKenna (McJack): Hundreds of articles have been written by sportswriters around the world about the upcoming fight between Filipino icon WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquaio (54-3-2, 38 KO’s) and undefeated American challenger WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (28-0-1 NC, 12 KO’s).

And with the fight now just a week away boxing fans can expect to be swamped by still more last minute news covering every facet of the lives of both fighters.
Most boxing observers feel that Bradley will give a very good account of himself even if he does not pull off what would be a huge upset. “Desert Storm” is indeed a very rugged fighter who comes to fight and will do whatever it takes win. In addition Bradley is strong, is in tremendous condition and has a good chin. At 28 years old Timothy also figures to be at his physical peak. The one rap against Bradley is that, while he is fast, he does not have KO power. He has only 12 KO’s in his 28 victories.

Manny Pacquiao’s abilities are well known to boxing fans. He has been named Fighter of the Year by boxing writers on three separate occasions in addition to being name Fighter of the Decade for the years from 2000 to 2009. “Pacman” also has the distinction of being the only fighter in boxing history to win world championships in eight weight divisions.

The rap against Pacquiao by some boxing fans is that some of his fights have been at catch weights, although that usually does not become an issue until after he has severely trounced fighters who have been a good deal larger than him. The most current rap against Manny is that at 33 he is starting to slip and he is not the same fighter who a couple of years ago was described by some fans as “The Pacific Storm”.

Last November Pacquiao put in a lackluster performance against WBO/WBA lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez (54-6-1, 39 KO’s). Manny won a highly controversial decision in a fight most boxing fans thought he lost. Although many of Pacquiao’s fans attribute his poor performance against Marquez to the alleged marital strife surrounding him at the time, there are some fans who claim that at 33 Manny’s best days are behind him.

The reports coming out of Pacquiao’s training camp are that he is at the top of his game and that he has all of his old speed and explosive power back. But that is what you would expect to hear coming out of Manny’s camp. Prior to his fight with Marquez both trainer Freddie Roach and conditioning coach Alex Ariza were predicting the early demise of “El Dinamita”. In essence it is hard to distinguish between the real and the unreal when deciphering comments coming out of training camps.

More than likely the spiritual awakening that engulfed Manny Pacquiao shortly after his fight with Marquez was the result of receiving the shock of his life and the realization that he came within an eyelash of losing the match.

There is no doubt in this writer’s mind that Pacquiao is back on track with his training and is not longer engaged in the extra curricular activities that accompanied many of his earlier camps. But to be certain we will have to wait until he engages Timothy Bradley in the ring next Saturday night.”

The great unknown for Bradley will be how he stands up to what has been described as “Pacman’s” freakish power. With much of the fight presumably being at close quarters Timothy’s chin will most likely be tested early and

{~} Buboy: Bradley won’t make it to the 12th round against Pacquiao :-

By Chris Williams: WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao’s helper Buboy Fernandez doesn’t see Timothy Bradley making it the full 12 rounds against Pacquiao next month in their clash at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 9th.

Although Buboy isn’t any kind of expert on boxing, he chimed in with his thoughts to the Manila Bulletin, saying “I can’t imagine how this fight will go 12 rounds. If ever this fight goes 12, I am sure Bradley will be just like [Miguel] Cotto and this fight won’t even be close. Bradley hasn’t fought a tough fighter of Pacquiao’s caliber and he will be surprised to see how an elite fighter like Manny does in the ring.”
I think Buboy needs to leave the predictions and fight analysis to the experts, because I think think he has a clue what he’s talking about. Bradley has fought fighters in Pacquiao’s talent range and he’s done well against them. What Buboy doesn’t understand is that Pacquiao has slipped a couple of notches for whatever reason. Whether it be age or too many wars, he’s definitely slipped and he’s now vulnerable to getting beaten. He already is coming off of a fight that many people think he lost last November against Juan Manuel Marquez. I imagine Buboy was thinking that Marquez would be out of his class as well.

That’s the problem for people that are too close and can’t step back and see how Pacquiao’s skills are eroding. Pacquiao’s last four fights against Marquez, Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito and Joshua Clottey have been awful fights, and not even close to being impressive. It’s one thing to have a poor performance in one fight, but when you look poor in FOUR CONSECUTIVE FIGHTS, it’s telling you that there’s something going on there.

I think it’s at the terminal stage with Pacquiao, and he can’t go back to what he was in the past. Too many wars, too many head shots, and too much aging has gone on with the Filipino. So when Buboy is talking about Bradley not being able to make it to the 12th round against Pacquiao, he’s talking about a Pacquiao that no longer exists. That Pacquiao is gone forever. What’s left is aging fighter that is no longer knocking anyone out.
